Social media’s time has come.

As policies in schools change and allow the use of social media in classrooms, it will be interesting to hear what educators and scholars not only have to say about it, but what they will do to promote it. While our society uses technology, or should I say, consumes it, how will we learn to use these programs moderately and ultimately learn to use them to produce things?  Once we can learn to use social media responsibly as a learning tool and ultimately improve the quality of our lives, then we can look at ways to communicate and share ideas, just like the telephone (and later, the computer and  Internet) did in the 20th century.
